Participation and Workshops

The Population Studies Center at King Saud University actively participates in international conferences and symposia and hosts scientific workshops that advance knowledge in population and development fields.

Participation

Center members have participated in numerous international conferences and symposia, including:

  • International Symposium on Population, Health, and Sustainable Development (2012) – International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India, 10–12 March (virtual platform). Paper title: Ageing in Saudi Arabia: New Dimensions and Intervention Strategies.
  • Harvard IJAS Conference, 27–31 May 2012. Paper title: Population Growth and Distribution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Workshops

The Center has organized and hosted several scientific workshops, including:

  • Hosting Dr. Mohammad Fadel Al-Rashid from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia (2017–2018).
  • Workshop on SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) — 2012.
  • Workshop on Saudi Arabia and Neighboring Countries’ Demography for Media Professionals — 2015.
