Population Studies Center

The Center was established pursuant to the Higher Education Council Resolution No. 11/56/1430H, dated 22/10/1430H.

The Center aims to address population issues and contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s development goals by conducting specialized scientific research and studies in population and related fields such as development and environment, with particular attention to social, geographical, economic, health, and historical dimensions. It also seeks to provide scientific consultation in population studies, prepare qualified and specialized cadres, support research and studies in population and development, and raise awareness of the importance of population issues and their relation to development. Furthermore, the Center supports researchers in the field, offers insights and recommendations related to population and development, and contributes to enhancing the capabilities of professionals working in population-related sectors across governmental and private institutions.
